Home Depot in South Jacksonville Beach evacuated

Witnesses: Workers asked to move away from store in parking lot

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – The Jacksonville Beach Police Department investigated a situation that caused The Home Depot store on Third Street South to be evacuated Wednesday morning.

Sgt. Tommy Crumley said that workers were asked to leave the store after a phone call led police to search the store about 7:40 a.m.

Nothing dangerous was found, no one was injured and no arrests were made. The employees were given the all clear to return to the store.
