Crash on Roosevelt Blvd. knocks down power pole

2 women involved in crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A crash of a Ford Mustang and a Dodge Caravan injuries two southbound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard at Timuquana Road on Thursday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. This is just north of Naval Air Station Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department reported minor injuries in the accident that occurred just before 6 a.m. The crash was cleared and all lanes reopened about 8 a.m.

News4Jax was told the woman driving the Caravan hit a power pole during the collision, flipping the van on its side and blocking one southbound lane of traffic. The woman driving the Mustang has a scrape on her hand. 

The cause of the crash is still unknown. Names of those involved and other details should be available later in the day.
