Deputies say man found with meth inside pickup truck

INTERLACHEN, Fla. – A 46-year-old Putnam County man was arrested Sunday morning and charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver after officers responded to a reported vehicle crash, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

When deputies arrived at the possible crash on Main Street in Interlachen, they found Walling Dewayne Beecher inside a pickup truck that was parked next to a knocked over metal pole.

Deputies determined there had not been crash, but during their investigation found products used in making meth inside Beecher's truck, along with a bad with meth inside it in Beecher's pocket.

Deputies said Beecher told them he was delivering the illegal drug to a friend.

Beecher was arrested without incident and booked into the Putnam County Jail. His bond was set at $2,504.
