Police arrest man with community's help
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrested 31-year-old Kevin Bishop on charges of burglary and dealing in stolen property after putting a call out to the community for help.
JSO originally sent out an alert saying that the 5 feet 6 inchs tall Bishop was armed and dangerous and known to ride a bicycle in the Wilson Boulevard area and the Bayview neighborhood on the Westside.
After posting Bishop's former mug shot and description along with JSO's phone number and the Crime Stoppers tip line number, calls flooded in from people with tips on Bishop's location.
Those tips led police to an address on Queen of Hearts Court where police found Bishop and arrested him.
After the arrest, JSO responded, thanking the community and everyone who called in tips for their help in apprehending Bishop.
