LAKE CITY, Fla. – A man and teenage girl were arrested Sunday and charged with discharging a firearm in public after they fired shots from a car in a neighborhood, according to the Lake City Police Department.
Police responded to the area of Wright and Dixie streets after reports that shots had been fired from a vehicle. The suspected shooters were identified as Travis R. Brown, 28, and Kalandra N. Riley, 16, but could not be found at the time, police said.
Later Sunday, Lake City police were called again by the complainant about the same suspects making threats toward them and family members.
While police were at the scene to follow up on the complaint, Brown and Riley drove through the area and were stopped by police.
After the investigation, police arrested Brown and Riley and they were booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility with a $26,000 bond.
