Deputies: Suspect stole purse from SUV


MIDDLEBURG, Fla. – A man stole a woman's purse from inside a car while the woman was in a grocery store on Blanding Boulevard in Middleburg, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.


Deputies said that on May 20, the man drove up in a beige SUV and parked beside the victim's vehicle while she was inside the store. Video surveillance shows the man reach inside the victim's vehicle, grab her purse and throw it into his SUV.

The man was wearing glasses and appears to be 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 to 200 pounds, deputies said.

His SUV appears to be a gold/beige Lincoln Navigator or Ford Expedition. The man left in his vehicle southbound on Blanding Boulevard.
