JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Adventure Landing put the fun back into fundraising during its fifth annual "Slide-A-Thon" this past weekend.

The weekend long event, held at Shipwreck Island Waterpark, challenged park visitors to "ride until you're tired," with 100 percent of proceeds for the event going to the American Red Cross Volunteer Lifesaving Corps.

Soggy and happy, some sliders set a world record over the weekend this past weekend with four men taking top honors with more than 50 hours and 15 minutes of nonstop sliding.

Shawn Dunn, Trevor Gleason, Michael Ohayon and Jarret Wilkinson all decided they wanted to break the 50 hour mark and decided who would get what prize.

Prizes ranged from a two-night vacation weekend plus Samsonite luggage, a surfboard from Aqua East Surf Shop or a family four-pack of water park season passes.
