Killer receives two mandatory life sentences

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man convicted of first-degree murder and attempted murder in the first-degree was sentenced Wednesday to two mandatory life sentences.

According to police, 20-year-old Sayton Adair Waller was in an Arlington apartment on October 2013, when he confronted 18-year-old Kamilah Urita and 22-year-old Liston Georges III inside their car.

Police said Waller opened fire on the car, killing Urita and seriously wounding Georges, who later recovered.

A 10-month-old child who was also in the car during the shooting was not injured.

Officials said the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute between Waller and Georges that began in high school.
