New City Council president, VP elected

Greg Anderson, Lori Boyer will serve in roles

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville City Council elected a new President and Vice President on Wednesday.

City Council At-Large Group 4 member Greg Anderson was elected President for the upcoming year.

His bio on the City of Jacksonville website says Anderson has over 25 years experience in the financial service industry and is currently EverBank's Senior Private Banking Officer.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia with a concentration in Finance.  He also holds a Masters of Arts Liberal Studies with a focus on leadership studies from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.

City Councilwoman for District 5, Lori Boyer, was elected Vice President.

Boyer moved to Jacksonville in 1978.  Her bio on the City of Jacksonville website says she left private practice in her legal career to work for several real estate investment and management companies founded by her late husband.

Boyer is now married to Circuit Judge Tyrie Boyer.
