2 arrested in burglary; officer hit by car
BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The Glynn County Police Department arrest a second man wanted for burglary.
Authorities say Thursday an anonymous caller reported seeing two men kick in a back door of a home on Ogg Avenue and that they had taken televisions. The caller told police the men were driving a white Buick Lesabre.
Authorities say Brunswick police officer Stewart came in contact with the two men on Ogg Avenue and was hit by the car being driven by Vernon Gould, 28. The drive hit a tree at Hill Street and Dudley Street. Gould was arrested a short time later.
Officer Stewart received an injury to his leg. He was treated and released from Southeast Georgia Health System.
Gould was charged with aggravated assault against a police officer and burglary.
On the 19th his alleged accomplice Keith Ellison, 22, was arrested and charged with burglary.
The homeowner recovered two televisions, a PlayStation and an iPad.
