Sky 10 was above the scene as a bomb technician approached the bank. The SWAT team was also at the scene.

The FBI said two people were assaulted during the robbery. One was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Roads were closed in the area of 41st Street near Meridian Avenue, backing up eastbound traffic on the Julia Tuttle Causeway.

The man was shot and killed Thursday night by law enforcement at the apartment where he lived. His identity hasn't been released.

It wasn't known what was inside the suspicious package, but it was detonated and deemed not to be dangerous.
