Football safety clinic for moms

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars, in partnership with USA Heads Up Football, is hosting a Moms Football Safety Clinic at EverBank Field on July 18, 2015, from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. This is a MOMMY AND ME event.

Moms are encouraged to bring their youth athletes between the ages of 6 and 13. The first 250 moms that register will have the opportunity to hear from medical experts, Jaguars training staff and get onto the field to learn USA Football's Heads Up Tackling techniques, all while engaging with other moms on issues regarding youth sports safety.

The free clinic will include education on proper equipment fitting; concussion awareness; heat and hydration; and USA Football's Heads Up Football program. As part of the event, moms in attendance will practice Heads Up Tackling and other football related drills. The event is one of a series of Football Safety Clinics for moms. All participants should wear athletic attire.

Jaguar representatives will include Rod Scott, Jaguars Assistant Athletic Trainer, Jimmy Luck, Jaguars Head Equipment Manager, Brian Parker, Taylor Hooton Foundation and Darrell Sutherland, USA Football Heads Up Master Trainer.
