Comcast increasing internet speeds

Higher speeds offered all across Florida

Comcast says it will increase Internet speeds across Florida for no additional charge.

The company announced speeds for the "Blast!" tier will increase from 50Mbps to 75Mbps. The new speeds are available immediately for new and existing customers in Florida.

At the end of the first quarter, Comcast reported 68 percent of its residential customers have an Internet connection of 50 Mbps or faster.

The move comes only a few months after the company began offering a fiber Internet service to residential areas, allowing customers to reach speeds up to 2Gbps.
