Carnitas returning to all Chipotle locations

Chipotle has found a new supplier for pork

Chipotle's carnitas shortage is finally coming to an end.

The restaurant chain announced they have signed new pork supplier, Karro Food Group from the United Kingdom.

Back in January, Chipotle suspended a supplier for violating the chain's "Responsibility Raised" standards. Theses standards include how the animals are raised and treated.

The supplier provided pork to nearly one-third of Chipotle's restaurants.

A Chipotle spokesperson says they would prefer to use a domestic supplier but, "the available supply that meets our high standards is relatively small." Chipotle says they will continue to search for a domestic pork supplier.

All locations should begin to serve carnitas again by the end of the year.
