GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – A 26-year-old Navy sailor has been charged with attempted murder after a domestic dispute in which he tried to shoot his brother-in-law, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
Richard Robinson III went to the home of Stephon Edwards in Oakleaf Plantation to speak to his estranged wife, deputies said.

Edwards told Robinson she wasn't there and that he needed to leave. Investigators said an argument ensued and Robinson pulled a handgun, pointed it Edwards' head and fired. Edwards ducked, and the slug hit his house, deputies said.
Robinson drove to the Mayport Navy base, where he was taken into custody.
