Winn-Dixie helps raises $3 million for Wounded Warrior Project

All money raised will go to the Wounded Warrior Project's Independence Program

A July 4th drive by Winn-Dixie and other stores under the Southeastern Grocers brand raised over $3 million for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Southeastern Grocers gave 100 percent of profits earned at all of their stores on Independence Day. Customers were also able to donate during checkout.

All of the money raised is going to the non-profit Wounded Warrior Project's Independence Program. This program helps with assisting many wounded military veterans who suffer from spinal-cord injuries, brain injuries, and many other neurological conditions.

The President of Southeastern Grocers said in a statement, "I am deeply moved by the outpouring of support this program received from our associates, customers. and even from individuals living outside of the communities we serve."
