Man ejected from truck, dies
FHP: 21-year-old driver was not wearing seat belt
BUNNELL, Fla. – A Palm Coast man died Saturday after his truck swerved off U.S. 1 in Flagler County, hit a utility poll and overturned, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The 21-year-old driver, Tyler Tracy, was driving north about 12:45 a.m. Saturday when when the truck left the road. Troopers said he was ejected and the truck landed on top of him.
Tracy was not wearing a seat belt, according to the FHP report.
The passenger, 22-year-old Michael Neves, survived with no injuries.
The investigation is ongoing to determine if alcohol was a factor in the single-vehicle accident. Troopers said they would like to talk to a potential witness who was driving a white car east on C.R. 304, turning north on U.S. 1 about the same time of the crash.
