Jags fans ready to Roar for preseason

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The spirit of Jaguars fans was alive and well Friday night as the Jaguars opened the preseason against the Pittsburgh Steelers at EverBank Field.

The focus wasn't just on the field but on the entire fan experience. Fans began the day by having fun in the entertainment zone.

And that fun went into the night as fans had a few laughs and a few drinks in the Fan Duel Zone.

"So far, it has been great. This is my first NFL game ever, so to be here at the Jags game with the giant screens has been awesome -- and just seeing the Jags and Steelers battle has been fun," Steelers fan Caroline Montero said.

The Jaguars won the game, 23 to 21.

"Bortles is connecting. Wide receivers are actually catching the ball. Everybody's got to fight for those positions. This is the year," Jaguars fan Deedee Ellis said. "Team looks great. We're really proud of Bortles and all of them."

Thousands of fans flocked to the Fan Duel Zone all night long.

"Jags season is like coming home. It's a family reunion. It's like seeing old friends. Old friends here in the stands and the field. It's a good time and the atmosphere is just electric," Jags fan Cheryl Robinson said. "We are hoping for a successful season, a winning season. Big things. We just want good things for the Jaguars this year."

"Win or lose, they are my home team here in Jacksonville," Tim Bartlett said. "I was born here, so no matter what, they're going to be incredible."
