JSO: Bank robbed on Lomax Street

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Wells Fargo bank on Lomax Street was robbed Friday afternoon, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The robbery happened just after 3 p.m. Friday when a man walked into the bank at 803 Lomax Street and handed a note to the teller saying he was armed and demanding money. The man left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Police said the robber was a black man, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and he was wearing a hat.

No one was injured in the robbery, police said.
