Small sinkhole opens on International Drive near Orlando Eye

Minivan gets stuck in hole

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A small sinkhole opened Sunday near a busy tourist spot in Orlando.

The hole was discovered in a parking lot at 7419 International Drive near Sand Lake Road between the Orlando Eye and Wet 'n Wild.

According to fire rescue crews, a minivan got stuck in the hole and had to be towed.  No injuries were reported.

Caution tape now surrounds the hole, and crews were expected to inspect it Monday and possibly fill it in.
