Storage companies burglaries investigated in Flagler County

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies are investigating after 26 storage units and utility trailers were broken into at three locations over the weekend.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office said one of the hits happened Saturday morning at Town and County Storage at 1 Enterprise Drive in Bunnell, where thieves broke into two vehicle trailers and eight storage units.

At Hargrove Mini Storage at 35 Hargrove Grade in Palm Coast, the robbers broke into eight utility trailers on Saturday.

Also on Saturday, thieves burglarized eight trailers at Southside Storage at 4751 E. Moody Blvd in Palm Coast.

Deputies said the thieves gained access to the storage units by cutting a chain at the front gate or tearing a fence and ripping it from its hinges.

The value of the items stolen has not yet been determined.

Deputies said surveillance video at Hargrove Mini Storage shows a dark-colored sport utility vehicle enter the facility at 12:24 a.m. and leave four minutes later.

Deputies are working to identify the thieves.
