Man found dead near railroad tracks identified

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police say the man found dead near railroad tracks off North Main Street  last Friday has been identified as a 25-year-old who lived on the Southside.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on Wednesday identified the victim as Tyshawn Session, whose last known address was on Sharon Terrace, more than 7 miles away from where his body was found.

Police said the case is being investigated as a murder.

A CSX engineer called police after seeing what he thought was a body along the tracks near the intersection of 50th Street and Main streets. Arriving officers confirmed that that a body was found, and it did not appear he had been hit by a train.
