Teen killed, 5 others hurt in Ocala nightclub shooting

OCALA, Fla. – A 19-year-old woman died and five others were injured early Sunday in a spray of gunfire in the parking lot of an Ocala nightclub.

Marion County sheriff's officials said someone drove through a crowd of people outside Cloud 9 and opened fire.

Benetria Robinson, 19, died at the scene, authorities said. WPBF-TV in West Palm Beach has reported that Robinson was a sophomore women's basketball player at Palm Beach State College.

Five others were taken to the hospital. Their names are not being released for their protection.

Police say about 1,000 people gathered at the crime scene after the shooting.

No suspects have been identified.
