Deputies: 19-year-old charged in road rage shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 19-year-old boy is charged with shooting into a moving vehicle and driving without a license after a road rage incident Saturday morning on Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park, according to deputies.

The arrest report indicates Christopher Tate was driving his girlfriend's car when he got into an argument with the driver of a red pickup truck in the next lane. The driver called the Clay County Sheriff's Office when he saw Tate pull a gun.

The report said Tate fired four shots that all missed.

A Clay County deputy was close by and followed Tate to his house, where he was arrested and a handgun was recovered. A search of the car turned up two spent shell casings, four live rounds and small amounts of heroin and marijuana.

Tate is being held on $252,000 bond.
