Suspected mobile meth lab closes Westside gas station

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A gas station on the Westside was closed for a short period of time after police found a suspected mobile meth lab Wednesday evening.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said they pulled over a car at the Murphy's Gas Station on 103rd Street around 9 p.m. Police said they found items consistent with making meth located in the vehicle.

The three people inside the car were eventually released because the chemicals were not actively being used to make meth at the time.

Officers closed the gas station for a short while as a precaution.

JSO gave the individuals a traffic violation.
