Volkswagen owners lining up to sue

Local attorneys reaching out to drivers involved in mass recall

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Owners of diesel Volkswagen and Audi cars that regulators claim were rigged to only temporarily meet pollution standards are lining up across the country to sue the world's biggest automobile company.

Volkswagen admitted to trying to make millions of diesel cars seem cleaner than they are by equipping them with software used to cheat emissions tests. It's estimated half a million car owners in the U.S. are impacted, and 11 million worldwide.

The models affected include the VW Jetta, Beetle, and Golf from 2009 through 2015, the Passat from 2014-2015, and the 2009-2015 model Audi A3.

Local attorneys Farah and Farah are among the firms across the country who are looking to represent clients and possibly join a class action lawsuit.
