Work begins on Mandarin intersection improvements

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Residents of Mandarin will see some changes soon that could help alleviate traffic tie-ups at the intersection of Old St. Augustine Road with Loretto and Greenland roads.

A new turn lane is being added at the southeast corner of the intersection, with the goal of helping with the traffic flow in the mornings and evenings.

The project is expected to take about six months, and since most of the construction will take place off the existing roadway, authorities hope there will be minimal disruption.
