In January 2014, officers arrived at the victims' Wilson Boulevard apartment and
found 57-year-old Henry Underwood dead on the bathroom floor. They also
learned that Underwood's 24-year-old daughter, Jennifer, had suffered a gunshot
wound to the head.

The investigation revealed that Lee and Jennifer Underwood were previously in a
relationship from which they have two children in common.

On the day of the incident, Lee was at the apartment with his child's mother, her father, and the two children when he and Jennifer got into an argument. During the altercation, Lee pulled out a gun and shot Jennifer in the head. He then shot her
father multiple times.

Lee then contacted a friend and asked him to Jennifer to the hospital. She survived the shooting but is now blind in her left eye.
