Deputies: 2 men rob, carjack cyber cafe employee

PALATKA, Fla. – Two armed gunman robbed a Palatka cyber cafe employee Saturday and stole her car, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.

The employee of Roger Womack's Cyber Cafe on Carter Road told deputies that about 2 a.m. Saturday she was confronted by two masked gunmen as she was leaving the business.

She told deputies the men forced her back inside the business at gunpoint, took an undetermined amount of money and then demanded her car keys.

She said they forced her to lie on the floor and then fled the business in her green 1998 Honda Civic.

The employee was not harmed during the incident, deputies said.

The robbers are described as two black men, both approximately 6 feet tall, slim build, wearing dark long sleeved shirts, dark pants and dark masks over their faces.

The Criminal Investigation Division is continuing the investigation.
