Sinus infections, stomach virus, even flu 'going around'

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – From sinuses to a stomach virus, family doctors are busy this week. There were even a few cases of the flu.

In Nassau County, doctors at the CareSpot in Yulee have seen some confirmed cases of the flu. They're also treating upper respiratory infections and strep throat.

In Duval County, the Southside CareSpot is also seeing cases of strep throat as well as patients suffering from sinus infections.

In Clay County, doctors at the CareSpot in Middleburg are treating sinus infections, a couple of cases of strep throat and cough with congestion.

In St. Johns County Healing Arts Urgent Care in St. Augustine is treating some viral illnesses and some intestinal illnesses. Doctors there also say they are treating a couple cases of puss caterpillar stings.

News4Jax reported on the puss caterpillars last month. They are showing up in our area and doctors at Healing Arts say people need to look before they sit down outside. That's how their patients seem to be getting stung.
