Gas station owner says he was robbed at gunpoint

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says Mobil station on Atlantic Boulevard held up

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at an Arlington gas station.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the Mobil station on the corner of Atlantic Boulevard and Bowlen Street, near the Arlington Expressway, was held up just before 9 a.m. Sunday.

Police are not releasing any information, but the owner of the gas station told News4Jax that a man robbed the business at gunpoint.

The owner, who did not want to be named, said the robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, but no one was hurt.

Police are not saying whether they are searching for a suspect or if they have made an arrest.
