JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police say a man was shot in the stomach early Sunday morning at the Eagle Rock Apartments on the Southside.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the complex on University just south of Beach Boulevard just before 4 a.m. The victim was taken to UF Health Jacksonville. His condition is unknown.

Officials say preliminary findings indicate it may have been an attempted robbery.
Police say they do not have any suspect information and are continuing to investigate.
