Police say armed burglar considered dangerous

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are asking for the public's help finding finding Michael Vincent Forte, 34, who is wanted for armed burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 

Authorities said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office did not provide details of the crime that resulted in the arrest warrant, but jail records show he has been arrested six times over the past 12 years on charges of battery, drug possession and several for driving on a suspended or revoked license.

Police said Forte will be held without bond once apprehended. 

Forte's name is mentioned in the arrest report of William James, 34, who is charged with the Sept. 8 murder of Luciano Brewer, 38.

Anyone with information about Forte's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
