The investigation revealed nearly $250,000 in precious metals, coins and cash were stolen.

Investigators said tips began coming in after posting the items on Facebook (ring pictured right).

The investigation led to a multi-state search for the property that showed up in Union County, Panama City, Georgia, Nevada, Colorado and Idaho.

A large portion of the precious metals, which included platinum coins and diamonds as well as collectible coins, rings, necklaces and some cash were recovered.

Four people have been arrested so far:

  • Cyle Harden, 22, of Lake City (currently being held in Idaho)
  • Julian Merriex, 21, of Lake Butler
  • Brandon Snowden, 19, of Providence
  • 17-year-old female of Panama City (currently being held in Gainesville)

The suspects face multiple criminal offenses, which may include federal charges of transporting stolen property across state boundaries.

Additional property in Idaho was recovered and seized, which includes a vehicle bought with the stolen cash.

Investigators also combed wooded locations where it's believed some of the jewelry and cash had been buried.

As of this past weekend, some bodies of water were also searched using metal detecting equipment.
