Meth ingredients found during traffic stop


ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – The Alachua County Sheriff's Office and Gainesville Police Department found components of a mobile meth lab during a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

Investigators said it pulled over a driver for tailgating on I-75 and noticed that person was nervous.

A narcotics-certified K-9 was brought in and indicated drugs were in the vehicle.

During a search, several components of a mobile meth lab were located. 


A Drug Task Force meth disposal team was brought in to safely collect and dispose of the potentially explosive chemicals. 

Criminal charges are pending.

The name of the driver was not immediately released.
