JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person is dead after a shooting was reported Tuesday afternoon on the Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police are investigating the death, which happened in the 7400 block of Linda Drive south of Edgewood Avenue.
Sgt. Craig Waldrup says an adult male was transported to UF Health where he died.
At t his time homicide investigators have no suspects and are interviewing potential witnesses.
Police say multiple shots were fired. JSO declined to say where the man was shot, only that he was shot in the body.
Investigators will be on scene for most of Tuesday night.
