FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit while riding her bicycle Wednesday evening.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Bailey Anne Cagliuso, from Palm Coast, was riding her bike out of a driveway on Felshire Lane just before 7 p.m. when she was hit by a car driven by Kiara Hemby, 18, of Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Cagliuso was flown to Halifax Daytona Medical Center, where she is being treated for her injuries. Hemby and her passenger in the car were not injured in the accident.
According to the FHP report, charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
