Sea & Sky Spectacular returns to Jax Beach

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One of the biggest events in Jacksonville hits the beach this weekend as the Blue Angels return home to headline the Sea and Sky Spectacular.

The event is Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. You can catch a glimpse of the fighter jets and other aerial performers flying along the coast on Saturday and Sunday for free. There will also be events and displays all weekend at the Seawalk Pavilion on 1st Street in Jacksonville Beach.

It's a family friendly event where you can see the world-famous Blue Angels along with other military and civilian flight teams, live entertainment, and the opportunity to see military aircraft and vehicles and the U.S. Special Operations Command Parachute Team.

The Military Recruitment Zone will be open t from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m inside of Latham Plaza. Booths include the Navy, Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Air National Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

Visitors can also meet and get autographs of some of their favorite air show performers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There will be a kid's zone on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to enjoy inflatable bounce houses, photo booths, a 24-foot Fun Slide, obstacle courses, a mechanical surfboard, giant checkers and much more.

Due to the air show activity over the water, Jacksonville Beach Ocean Rescue announced there would be no swimming between 32nd Avenue South in Jacksonville Beach to Myra Street in Neptune Beach between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
