Caller caught after bomb threat at school

ST. MARYS, Ga. – St. Marys Middle School was evacuated Friday morning because of a phoned in bomb threat.

Students returned to school after a search of the school turned up nothing suspicious.

About 10 a.m. the St. Marys police said they responded to a bomb threat and the school was evacuated as a precaution. They said there was a bomb scare at St. Mary's Elementary School last week that also turned up nothing.

St Marys Police say the person responsible for the bomb threat at the middle school has been identified. Formal criminal charges are pending the conclusion of the investigation.
