Police: Bomb threat at R.B. Hunt Elementary

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Students at R.B. Hunt Elementary School were evacuated Friday morning because of a bomb threat, according to the St. Augustine Police Department.

The students were moved to a soccer field across from the elementary school, which is at 125 Magnolia Dr. off State Road A1A. They were allowed to return to school when the all clear signal was given.

Police said the bomb threat was phoned in and the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office bomb squad, St. Augustine Fire Department and St. Johns County Fire/Rescue Hazmat Team searched the school.

No evidence was found at the school, investigators said. Police are working to trace the call.

"At no time were the students, staff or facilities ever in danger during this incident," St. Augustine Police Department spokesman Mark Samson said.
