Santa Claus arrives in Jacksonville

Santa welcomed by dozens of children at the Avenues Mall

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It may feel like summer, but on Friday evening, a part of Jacksonville turned in to the North Pole.

Santa Claus arrived at the Avenues Mall, aboard a helicopter.

A few elves and nearly 2,000 excited faces waited to greet Ole St. Nick.

Many children were ready with their wish list in hand.

Victoria Bell asked Santa for an Easy Bake Oven, and Micayla Johnson was there to see if he could deliver "a dog ,and I want a light up unicorn, and I want a Barbie."

Don't worry, there is a lot of time left to get your wish list to Santa. He'll be at the Avenues Mall until Christmas Eve.
