DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. –
A Facebook posting of a dog with its mouth duct-taped shut is causing outrage.
Animal lovers have inundated Volusia County law enforcement Friday night and early Saturday morning with calls and online messages after images of the dog appeared on Facebook.

The photos were posted to the wall of a Facebook user listing her hometown as South Daytona. Authorities have asked people to stop inundating them with calls about the posting.
The city of South Daytona said an animal cruelty investigation is underway. Officials also said they had information that the dog is ok and the person who posted the photos was out of state for Thanksgiving. Investigators said they would question her when she returns.
