Atlas V rocket scheduled to launch


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - An United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket is scheduled to liftoff from Cape Canaveral on Friday.

The rocket is scheduled to launch at 5:33 p.m. The launch was originally scheduled for Thursday but was delayed due to bad weather.

The mission is the first flight of the Cygnus advanced maneuvering spacecraft. The spacecraft is capable of delivering more than 7,700 pounds of essential crew supplies, equipment and scientific experiments to the International Space Station.
