Woman accused of writing bad checks for jewelry

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are searching for a 39-year-old woman accused of seven counts of grand theft.

Tiffany Gibbs also has active warrants for four counts each of dealing in stolen property and false verification of ownership. The charges carry a $150,000 bond.

A bad check was written for a large jewelry purchase. It was later discovered that the suspect, Tiffany Gibbs, had pawned the jewelry item on the same date. Further investigation revealed that this had occurred on multiple occasions at multiple jewelry stores in the Jacksonville area, police said.
