SWAT officer shoots, kills dog in drug raid

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A SWAT member serving a narcotics search warrant shot and killed an aggressive dog Wednesday night in Northwest Jacksonville, police said.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the warrant was being served at a residence on West 13th Street.

Investigators said several complaints had been received about the residence and several undercover drug buys of Flakka were made there, prompting the raid. Officers found Flakka, cocaine, four handguns and a rifle, police said.

Three people were arrested.

Police said the dog that was killed had been aggressive and charged at the SWAT officer.
