FHP: the car hit a parked car sending it into the house

NASSAU CO., Fla. – A car crashes into a home in Nassau County, according to the Florida High Patrol.

Troopers say 40-year-old Michael Robert Thompson veered off of SR-200 for unknown reasons. FHP says Thompson continued driving, driving through several residences along the way.

According to the FHP report, Thompson then hit another car that was parked in a driveway. The crash pushed the other car into the house. FHP says Thompson's car then also hit the house. 

Thompson was taken to UF Health in Jacksonville with series injuries. No one inside the home was hurt. The report indicates that the crash caused major damage to the house.

Charges are pending.
