Woman found guilty of murdering Jacksonville man

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 38-year-old woman was found guilty Friday of murdering a 22-year-old Jacksonville man, according to police.

Karla Davis returned to her South Jacksonville home in February 2014 to find that it had been burglarized earlier that evening. Minutes later, she noticed two cars driving down her street.

Ian Klinedinst, his fiance, his children and a friend were meeting at the end of the street. Davis grabbed a gun, drove her car to the end of the street and blocked Klinedinst's car. She then shot him in the head and fled the scene.

Davis was arrested four days later at a North Jacksonville hotel. She was found guilty of second-degree murder and faces a minimum of 25 years and maximum of life in prison. She will be sentenced the week of Jan. 25.
