Missing Panhandle mother found safe

Woman found unharmed in Alabama

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Pensacola mother who hadn't been seen since before Christmas has been found safe in Alabama.

Police haven't released much information about Stefanie Bowen's disappearance but say she left on her own.

Bowen's family reported her missing on Dec. 30, a week after she disappeared.

Bowen's daughter says she dropped Bowen off at a Walgreens on Dec. 23. Bowen told her family she was going with a man to a party later that night. Bowen then disappeared.

Police talked to the man who Bowen claimed to be meeting. He told them he didn't have contact with her for nearly a week before the date of that party.

Bowen had also left behind her cellphone. Police are still investigating.
