Pier 1 recalls Swingasan chairs & stands

Pier 1 is recalling hundreds of thousands of Swingasan chairs and stands. The company is recalling the products because the can possibly fall. The company sells the chairs and stands separately. 

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the stand can become unstable and the suspension hardware on the products can possibly break.

Pier 1 is recalling the products in the United States as well as Canada. In the U.S., the company is recalling about 260,000 products. They were sold between the time frame of January 2010 to August 2015.

Anyone with a recalled item is advised to stop using the product. Pier 1 is offering a repair kit or consumers can get a full refund. 

CPSC reports, that there have been 101 incident reports including 93 incidents of the products becoming unstable. There were 23 cases of injuries from those 93 incidents.
