One shot in Lackawanna attempted robbery
Victim expected to be okay
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville police responded to a call of gunfire in the Lackawanna neighborhood, early Saturday morning.
Police arrived to find a man had been shot in in the face, but those wounds were non-life threatening, according to investigators.
He was taken to UF Health for treatment.
Detectives said the victim was walking home when he was approached by two men in a car, demanding items from the victim. A fight ensured and resulted in a gun being fired.
Police have not found the two men suspected in the attempted robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
